Estate Planning:

Stocks, Bonds, and Mutual Funds
Using an appreciated investment is an excellent way to make a charitable gift.  Generally, you can deduct the full fair market value of the investment for income tax purposes and avoid all capital gains tax.

Wills and Trusts
If you have a Will or Trust, consider an addendum to your Will or amendment to your Trust that includes a specific gift to the Epworth Church.

Life Insurance
You can designate the Epworth Church as the beneficiary of a life insurance policy.  If you give a policy, you can deduct the value of the policy and the value of each premium payment that you make following your initial gift.

Payable on Death (POD) Designations
You may add a POD to a bank account or Certificates of Deposit to provide a gift to Epworth Church upon your death.  You retain full control of the account over your lifetime and the designation is revocable.  In some cases a POD designation can be added to stocks, bonds, mutual funds, and even real estate.

If you have a special project or cause important to you, please consider this fund. This is different from the Epworth Memorial Foundation which is not church related and has its own members and stated purpose.

Colwell Memorial Playground

Upper Room
This fund helps to furnish and maintain the apartment in the Hotel which houses our guest ministers. The Church pays rent for the use of this space.
